British police say seven people have died after a military jet participating in the Shoreham Airshow crashed on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Associated Press, the Hawker Hunter crashed into a road, hitting several cars. West Sussex Police said seven people died and one patient was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police believe no one on the airfield was injured. The AP reports that the fighter jet was a single-seat plane.
